McNicholas Inventory Services Terms of Business

 

Business hours:
Our Normal business hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. We do not work on Sundays.
We appreciate that sometimes it is necessary to work out side of these hours, especially in the summer months, and will always try to accommodate the needs of you and your clients.

 

Pricing:
We will have agreed a price list with you. We will not offer reductions on these fees. There may be times when we charge a higher fee than agreed, for example, for an exceptionally heavily stocked furnished property, or additional rooms/outbuildings that we were not aware of. Where possible, we will inform you of this before we proceed.

 

Late Cancellation &  Aborted visit fees:

We appreciate there are times when there is no other option than to cancel an appointment at the last minute and we always take that into consideration, however we would kindly request that you make cancelations no later than the close of business on the day before the appointment is due. Not doing so may result in us charging you a late cancelation fee of  £50.00. 
There are also circumstances when there is no other option than to abort a job. For example, if an appointment for a check out inspection has been made and on arrival the tenant has not removed their belongings, or we may be prevented from entering a property through no fault of our own. For example, when a landlord has failed to complete works in time for the inventory to be In these instances and has not informed us of the delay. In these instances we will charge an aborted visit fee of £50.00.

 

Payment:

We will submit an invoice to you with each job. We expect to receive payment within 30 days of issuing that invoice. We would prefer to receive payment via BACS or cheque. Non payment or continual late payment of invoices will result in us withdrawing our services until outstanding balances have been paid.

 

Our Conduct:

We aim to provide you with the best service possible by;

- Always being professional, prompt and reliable and keeping you well informed

- Returning hard copies of inventories to you within 48 hours of carrying out the job

- Submitting check out reports within 24 hours of the inspection being carried out, if for any reason we are unable to do this, we will inform you at the time of the appointment.
